In this lecture, I’ll give an introduction into the use of NSTableView in connection with a SQLite database. by Ulrich Bogun |

15:30 | Database | Database independent programming with Interface Resilience denotes the capability of computer software to withstand the pressure of changing requirements. For a business solution with database connection this implies the capacity to switch the underlying database system. Based on a practical example we demonstrate how the usage of an Interface helps to separate application programming from database specific programming. For instance by using the MBS SQL Plugin one can create classes for various database systems, which implement a common Interface. Through programming against an Interface instead of a specific database system, the computer software remains open for new or changing database systems. This is an example for the practical usage of Interfaces. An example Xojo application will be made available to the participants. by Oliver Osswald |
